I?ve had plenty of thoughts, and not much time, or not enough time. Actually, I suppose I could have made time, and then didn?t!
The
same with art and design! I am really trying hard to make time and get
my ideas down on paper, so I sketch anywhere I can, on the train, in
one of many notebooks, and then one day checkout all my sketches and
ideas, then decide which ones I?ll draw again and complete. Will I
finish this drawing using oil paint, pen, colour pencils, watercolour,
or the computer?
Is, sitting and thinking about which medium to use, procrastinating? Is it a bad idea to procrastinate?
I
know eventually, I will make up my mind, and probably draw the same
thing in different mediums. I could, cut out the thinking part of it,
and just do it! ...nah!
After a lot of thinking, I?ve come
to the conclusion that, some kind of thinking can be useful in the
process of creating art, especially a big collection of art! It?s not a
good idea to rush into things without "some kind of thinking", after
all, life is about the choices you make!
This brings me to the
idea I came up with for my next solo art exhibition, which will take
place in December 08, at the Soho Art Gallery in Osaka, near
Tanimachi9chome.
Have an awesome day! jsn
