市民ふれあいの里
Google translated it to "Friendship Village of citizens". Located near Osakasayama City Hall, or not far anyway.
In amongst the suburbs, an awesome camping area, managed by a friendly team of energetic professional people, ready and willing to help you make your camping trip an enjoyable one.
...and that, they did! More than 50 of us(37 elementary students, and a brilliant support group, plus 3 awesome exchange students from Ontario) had a ball of fun, did plenty!,...overnight, and less than 24 hours!!!
Tuesday 2nd of August, I joined in on the fun as an English teacher/instructor, made a lot of friends(about 50 friends), helped with instructing and playing some fun games and activities(and thanks heaps to my awesome assistant Miki), helped prep for dinner, the largest curry and rice I've ever seen cooked, and eaten(..burp!...thanks for that), danced strangely around a ceremonial fire(lotsa fun), read a bedtime story with a friend from NZ,...in the morning, a nice walk, saw some squirrels, came back to the camp site for breaky, then after some monkeying around on the huge jungle gym, we cooked バウムクーヘン (Baumkuchen ) on bamboo!
I've learnt a heap, in such a short time, and wanna do it again!
